Belgreen Theme and Focus for 2017
A child of God has a love, affection and respect for the Creator, Sustainer and Savior of the soul. One important way to express this is with a diligent determination to grow and mature as a Christian. This should be a priority for the entirety of the Christian life. We must put careful thought and consideration into the areas in which we are in need of improvement. With this in mind the Elders of the Belgreen church of Christ have presented a theme for 2017 of Individual Spiritual Growth. We hope that you will engage with us as we focus on the subjects chosen and strive to grow individually. If we all grow individually then it will be certain that we will grow spiritually as a congregation of the Lord's Church.
The stakes are high as we think of spiritual growth. We are instructed and encouraged throughout the Word of God to GROW spiritually as a disciple of Christ, 2 Peter 1:1-11. We are also expected to GROW spiritually as a congregation, Revelation 2:1-5. A lack of attention to growth will result in being unacceptable as a servant of Christ individaully and our soul in danger of eternal destruction. We can also fall away as a congregation and have God withdraw His fellowship from us.
It is with careful thought that we present this theme and we pray it will be helpful to all.
